GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT

Global employment refers to an employment scenario where an employee can have a number of personnel assignments in several different countries .in most cases, two countries will be involved. However it is also possible that more than two countries could be involved.

In this case, employment is sequential. The employee is placed on an internal assignment and may return after a certain period has elapsed.

Global Employee contain Which Components ?


  • Person ID concept : With the person ID concept, each employee receive a unique identification number.
  • Management of global employees : In management of global employees, an employee has various personnel assignments in different countries. The new assignment is planned and monitored through the info type 0705 checklist.
  • Payroll for global employees : The payroll solution for global employment,is called payroll for global employees.The payrolls in the different countries can be run simultaneously here and can exchange information between one another if necessary.

Concurrent employment refers to an employment scenario, where an employee has several personnel assignments in one country.
The person ID concept is the same as for management of global employees.
Concurrent Employment is only released for some countries

Compensation Package Calculation:

The customizing setting should reflect the international employee assignment policy of your company. a new info type package is created if one of the two info types is changed during the negotiations.
You can also use the system to help the system to help calculate how high the basic salary should be for the employees in the country. For this, country specific such as tax deduction, cost indexes and other attributes have to be taken into account

Personnel Structure in SAP HCM # SAP ERP

Personnel Structure # SAP ERP

Personnel Structure contain 
  • Employee Group 
  • Employee Subgroup
  • Payroll Area

Employee Group -

-The employee group allow you to define your employees into groups and define their relationship to the company such as :Active ,Pensioner etc

-In other words,Employee Group is used to distinguish your employees between persons actively employed, pensioners and early retirees
.
-Employee group is defined with a one-digit identification.

Navigation Path :  IMG > Enterprise Structure > Definition > Human Resource Management > Employee Groups


Employee Subgroup -

  • A subdivision of the employee group.This allows furthers distinguishing of employees according to specific traits.
  • The employee subgroup is defined by a two-character, alpha-numeric code.

  • Employee subgroups subdivide employee groups, within the employee group for active employees for example a distinction is made between the following employee subgroups


Payroll Area -

  • A group of employees for whom payroll should be run together and at the same time.
  • Salaried employees in your enterprise receive their salary at the end of the month. Hourly wage earners receive their remuneration in the middle of the subsequent month.

Practical - 

 

In IMG node select Enterprise Structure then select Definition then Human Resource Management then Employee Group.

  • in the next screen select employee group like active ,retire etc
  • If you want to create new employee group then select New Entries and put values and save it

Now Employee SubGroup-
  • Click on employee subgroup a screen will appear , select employee subgroup like hourly,salary etc
  • Or you can create your own 



This was the definition now Goto Assignment 
and assign employee group and subgroup
